Introduction Introduction

The organization has given dedicated and relentless service to all types of sick and injured animals. Approximately 9000 to 10000 animals are treated in a year out of which 300 to 400 are always in-patients. Our organization is registered with the Charity Commissioner; Registration No. F-304 (BOM) dated 2nd June 1953 under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950.

The Bombay SPCA effectively controls cruelties to animals in Mumbai. During the last several years, we have tried our level best to render efficient services to sick and injured animals. We have started new projects such as a Cardiac Centre, an Intensive Care Unit, a Blood Bank, an Animal Birth Control Centre, an Electric Crematorium, a Shelter for ownerless animals and many more initiatives. This has been made possible because of the generous support received from our well wishers / donors.

We take a pledge to further provide better services to the animal world by incorporating new concepts of Animal Welfare and Animal Rights by extending our services in the Bai Sakarbai Dinshaw Petit Hospital for Animals. We try reducing cruelties to animals in the city of Bombay by employing SPCA Inspectors, social workers and by way of spreading education through awareness programmes.
